echoes and belly buttons.

back at the keyboard finally and i bring a new picture with me, too. the boy is well. he's eating well. sleeping well (but we're looking for improvement here). and we can see him grow before our eyes. i'll post new pictures from the last week or so soon.

we heard back regarding his echo cardiogram. maybe i haven't posted about this yet? our doc heard a murmur in his heart so he ordered the echo. it turns out isaac has two holes in his heart. one in the "usual" place that tends to grow shut. the other between his left ventricle and his right aorta. the pediatric cardiologist wants to keep an eye on it. he's fine now (which we knew by looking at him) but later in life it could cause him some trouble. pretty much what we expected to hear. in another few months he'll go back in for another echo.

and any minute now the boy is going to have a belly button. that'll be nice. the boy is looking more human all the time. (as opposed to a turtle or bird or something.)

i look forward to the day when his reaction to me is different then his reaction to the ceiling fan.
